About Department
On June 16, 1958, the Mathematics Department was founded. In 1966, the subject was introduced at the B. Sc. III (degree) level. The department has upheld its academy standards since its founding. In B. Sc. III, there were twelve students enrolled for the 2023–2024 academicyear.
Moreover, a range of year-round events are planned to foster the spirit of learning and growth, including guest lectures, seminars, workshops, contests, group discussions, case study reports, short-term courses, and study tours. Additionally, pupils engage in the activities to the fullest. We push our students to be involved in extracurricular and co-curricular activities as much as possible while attending college. The mathematics department has a sizable library of books. In our core library, there are over 500 books. The staff employees take part in conferences, seminars, and workshops at state, national, and international levels. We are proud to report that a large number of our alumni are well-positioned and dispersed across the globe.
The department was strengthened by the dedicated faculty members, including Mr. K. N. Kulkarni, Mr. R. S. Mane, Dr. B. K. Karande, Mr. G. V. Langade, Mr. B. K. Patil, and Dr.Jagatap R. D. who made use of their abilities.
Vision
The vision of the department is to establish itself as a worldwide hub for learning, academic achievement, and cutting edge research while also becoming a center of excellence in mathematics education through excellent teaching. In addition to offering unparalleled depth and range of learning opportunities.
Mission
The mission of the degree programs in mathematics is to prepare students for graduate work and the workforce by teaching them analytical and problem-solving techniques. Students gain the skills and aptitudes to apply mathematical concepts and methods to almost any kind of investigation, not only in mathematics but also in adjacent subjects like computer science, statistics, and the sciences.
